Warren Glacier 10/26/08

It snowed around these parts earlier this week so Nick and I had to go get our first turns of the season in.
Up to the Warren glacier on Mt. Garabaldi where we got 400 meters in.
Conditions turned out not too bad with up to 6 " of fresh pow in spots.

Rex's Pillar 2nd annual cornfest

Had a great climb/ski on Rex's Pillar. Perfect weather and company with BackCountryPunk and The Rat. Excellent corn snow conditions for the most part.

I skied from the summit. It looks here like it's an easy run, but it is the steepest part of the mountain, maybe 50 degrees + for a bit. You just keep rolling over and the horizon is all snow, the lower slopes don't become visible until you put a number of turns in. Then it gets steeper. It wasn't corn snow at all up there more hard,packed and sun cupped and my boot broke at the top which made it a bit challenging since my heel wasn't locked down. I never feel more alive than at times like these.

Duffy Lake area 12/29/07

The Sausage king and I skied the The Duffey Lake area and yo-yo'ed the shit out of some slopes. Fantastic powder and groovy turns were had all day.

The next 3 vids show how we cleared the snow build up off the cabin roof.

I dragged the gimp and personal man servant all the way up. He put up a good fight but it's good for cardio training.

The bowl behind was tempting but the avy risk was too high.
