Mt.Anif/Mulligan 7/23/11
These chutes have been tempting us forever. This is the view from my street showing the tasty lines to be had. We called it the White Ass couloir. Since the elevation is so low the avy danger is high mid winter whenever we get a good dump of snow. Today however, great corn snow conditions prevailed. Bob, his brother in law from Japan and myself had a nice outing.

Heartstrings 4/14/11
Spring skiing season is upon us now and the warmer temps and longer days make for great times. This year the snow pack is 130% of normal so there are simply fantastic conditions.
Heartstrings at Joffre lakes is a run that has been on my tick list for a while and turned out to be everything I hoped.
Bob and I found stunning snow all over. On the run down it's amazing being surrounded by rock monoliths.

Metaldome 4/3/11
Trip up to Metaldome which none of us had ever been to before. Thats another great thing about living here - there are so many places to go within an hours drive.
The approach kind of sucks with a logging road skin for an hour or so. Then follow a creek or two, then break into the alpine.
