Flying J and I went up to ski/climb Mt Matier. The weather was perfect and snow conditions good. We did leave a bit early to ski it as it was still icy by the time Bob summited. He down climbed most of it and said it was pretty sketchy up higher with his light crampons and ice axe being quite useless in those conditions.
We camped on the glacier, strode past the seracs and some icefall, got some glissading in, bushwacked around the other side of the lake and generally had a great time.
