Thar  on the Coq March 1

Havoc on the Coq highway. Mandatory chain up for the truckers. Semis were spun out just past  3 bears snow shed, tow trucks reversing down where I was coming up. So this meant there was lots of snow up there. Actually it was blizzard conditions and there was 12" on the off ramps with no tracks. I barely made it through with all wheel drive and good snow tires on.
Snow was awesome on Thar with 18" fresh. The higher up I went though, an icy layer underneath became consistent and was starting to concern me. With it snowing and blowing heavily on a decently steep slope, I turned around.
Got some fantastic turns in the light fluffy powder.
